Company Values
The family owned hospitality group with venues across Ayrshire
SimpsInns
SimpsInns is a family-owned hospitality group with award winning hotels, restaurants, bars, spa, golf, and leisure venues across Ayrshire. Owners Malcolm and Karen Simpson remain an integral part of the business and the family ethos continues with sons Lee and Jack also key players within the group. The company values cascade from the owners through the senior management team and to every member of team working across all our SimpsInns venues. The company vision is to work together as one; to collectively help one another and share the same goals. Customer satisfaction is key, and we achieve this through an engaged and motivated SimpsInns team.
As a family-owned company, we treat every member of team the same way we ourselves would expect to be treated. Family values remain at the top of the list at SimpsInns. When you join our team, you become part of the ‘SimpsInns Family’ where everyone has the right to be treated equally and fairly, regardless of the role within the company.
At SimpsInns we recognise that everyone brings different life experiences to work, a shared workplace where we respect all cultures and backgrounds. When someone joins our team, we ensure the individual and every other existing team member has equal opportunity. We provide an environment to grow and evolve as a person and the chance to further your career.
Hospitality relies on integrity. Reputation is everything and this is paramount within SimpsInns. Our industry has experienced the best of times and the toughest of times (especially in recent years during the pandemic). Our loyal customers come back time and time again and we hope new customers become our regular visitors. None of this would be possible without a strong company ethos where everyone within SimpsInns buys into our strong company ethics. As a collective group, we all represent SimpsInns in whatever role or day-to-day duties we carry out. Our reputation is built on the people who work and represent SimpsInns every single day.
Collectively, we can be greater than the sum of our parts. Hospitality is a constantly changing landscape. No two days are ever the same and each new dawn brings with it new challenges and opportunities. It is only by working as a team that we find solutions, to problem solve and think on our feet when the pressure is on. Such shared experiences in a fast-moving environment also brings individuals together away from the workplace. Teamwork in the workplace creates friendships and lifelong connections and this is most definitely the case at SimpsInns.
We are all constantly learning. Even the owners and directors of any company don’t have all the answers, we learn every day. At SimpsInns it’s ok to ask if you need help or require assistance. As a team, we must share the same goals and vision. Individual growth and progression are actively encouraged, and team members have the chance to enrol in new courses or pick up new skills through dedicated and ongoing training. Learning is a continuous process, and an engaged and motivated team is part of our success at SimpsInns.
Passion is everything in hospitality. We take pride in what we do to ensure customers receive the very best of our ‘Special Scottish SimpsInns Welcome’. It is vitally important as a company and a workplace that we take pride in the work we do but also pride for the people we work alongside when delivering such a reputable service - which has been built upon for years at SimpsInns. To give team members the freedom and ability to express themselves also brings out the best in themselves. That’s when the true passion from within is displayed and that’s what we strive for every day at SimpsInns.
It is no secret; we are a proud Ayrshire company with award winning venues across the region. We provide the best quality of product and service at all our hotels, restaurants, bars, spa, golf, and leisure facilities. For our restaurants, we source the best of local produce where possible. We work with many local suppliers and place a premium on provenance. Quality of product and service are the cornerstones of our business. They are the very things we are judged on, and we take great pride at SimpsInns in delivering the best of both.
